Procure pyruvate tubes / perchloric acid tubes from AmPath as a pre-requisite.Draw 3 mL whole blood in 1 grey top (Sod Fluoride) tube. Mix the blood with equal volume of 7% cold perchloric acid. Mix and centrifuge immediately. Separate supernatant and send 2 ml in plain vial.Ship refrigerated or frozen.
